Hoe werkt het?
The SEPA-standards (Single Euro Payments Area) apply as a binding standard in more than 30 countries. This makes payments in euros across national borders secure. One of those standards is the International Bank Account Number (IBAN), which identifies banks and account numbers.
Voordelen
- Easy : the IBAN-structure of accounts simplifies payments, especially between countries within the eurozone.
- Uniform : all executed transfers with the same structure within the zone are being regarded as ‘internal payments’ in Europe.
